Jay Gage brings 18 years of youth ministry experience to First United Methodist Church.  In additon to being a youth minister Jay has also served as a public school teacher, coach and counselor to at-risk youth and families.  Jay received his degree in All-Level Education from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas.  He has served churches in Dumas, Lockhart, and Clarendon before coming to Midland. 

Jay recently became a Licensed Local Pastor and was appointed to First Methodist as an Associate Pastor to Youth and their families.  Jay will begin Seminary this fall through Asbury's Masters in Ministry online program. 

Jay's passion is to see youth enter into an intimate relationship with Christ and to learn what it means to make Him Lord of every area of their lives.   

Jay has a beautiful wife Becky and three children, Coltan, Hannah, and Brylie.
